Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Harvest Fields ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data We Collect

We collect your Google account information (name, email) when you sign in. The App reads and writes territory data in the Google Sheets spreadsheet you connect. We access your Google Drive files using the drive.file scope only — this means the App can only access spreadsheets that you explicitly created within the App or selected yourself using the built-in Google Drive file picker. The App cannot access any other files in your Google Drive. We collect crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics and basic usage analytics through Firebase Analytics to improve app stability.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your Google account information is used solely for authentication and displaying your profile within the App. Territory data is stored in your own Google Sheets spreadsheet — the App only acts as an interface to read and write that data. Google Drive access (drive.file scope) is used strictly to create new spreadsheets on your behalf or to open a spreadsheet you selected via the built-in file picker. We do not browse, index, or access any other files in your Drive. Analytics data is used to improve app stability and performance.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your territory data is stored in your Google Sheets spreadsheet and is governed by Google's privacy and security policies. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device. We do not store your territory data on our servers.

4. Google API Usage Disclosure

The App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The App requests only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file (drive.file) scope. This non-sensitive scope grants access exclusively to:

• Spreadsheets created by the App on your behalf.
• Spreadsheets you explicitly selected using the in-app Google Drive file picker.

The App does not request access to your entire Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, or any other Google service beyond what is listed above.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Sign-In — authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Sheets API — reading and writing territory data in your spreadsheet (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Drive API — creating spreadsheets; access limited to drive.file scope (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Picker API — in-app file selection from Google Drive (browser session only, no server access) (Google Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Analytics — usage analytics (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• OpenStreetMap — territory map display (OSM Privacy Policy)

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary for the App to function.

7. Your Rights

• You can sign out and disconnect your spreadsheet at any time from the Settings screen.
• You can delete your data by removing the connected Google Sheets spreadsheet.
• You can revoke the App's access from your Google Account permissions.
• You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the App and on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
